Unless you decide to take control of your health, (which you are fully capable of doing!) then things will not just fall nicely into place. As a nurse, I’ve seen enough evidence to the contrary. If you don’t take control of your life, life will happen to you. I don’t mean to scare you, but if you don’t slow down and prioritize your health, your body will force you to slow down in some very undesirable ways down the road.

What I am
If you came here looking for your biggest cheerleader and strongest supporter then you’ve come to the right place. I am a certified health coach, personal trainer AND a registered nurse. I’m well-versed in a wide range of lifestyle diseases. My role as a health coach is to help guide you in a way that helps you discover your own answers.


What I am not
I am not here to give you all the answers, to diagnose diseases or to medically treat symptoms. I am not a nutritionist so I cannot give you specific meal plans to follow, nor can I recommend supplements. I am also not here to just spew all of the information that you’ve already heard a million times before. My guess is that you already know that fruits and vegetables are good for you and that exercise is beneficial. We go beyond that...

Most importantly, I am not here to do all the work for you. You and I both know that would help no one. I am not here to convince you that you need to change. Because that must come from you.

But I am here to be your strongest supporter, your guide and your mentor, as you branch out and grow into what we both already know you can become!

Are you ready?
I am going to be very honest here. For this to work, I’m going to need some assurances from you also. A coaching partnership will only work if you believe that you have to make a change right now. It will only work if you are future-oriented and optimistic about making this change. You have to believe that you can do this. You have to come into this process with an open-mind and a “take control” attitude.

Your mind also has to be open to the possibility that like your body, your mind will change too. You have to go into this understanding that you and only you are responsible for your outcomes at the end of the day. Most importantly, you have to decide that making a healthy change is an actual priority in your life right now. Because the truth is, we only make time for that which we value. If we don’t see the value, we will only find excuses and say we don't have the time (or money). I want to spare you some money and time here if you just aren’t ready to commit.

Is it worth the money?
If you're still not totally convinced, let me ask you this: How much is it worth to you to feel energetic, confident, happy and vibrant? Did you know that experts are predicting that by the year 2023 the average American’s annual healthcare costs will be almost $15,000 per year??  This factors in what we pay for premiums and our deductibles once we’ve met them. It doesn’t even factor in the co-pay costs for prescription medications and doctor’s visits. Just to manage diabetes alone, it’s estimated to cost a person almost $17,000 per year.

And none of these costs factor in the cost of suffering or loss of productivity that lifestyle diseases can cause. I’m not sure about you but personally I’d rather spend a fraction of this money on a one-time health coach and the rest on some amazing vacations with my family and friends! While I can’t promise to cure or totally prevent lifestyle diseases, many risk factors for these diseases are known to be modifiable, meaning if you make some changes, your risk goes down substantially. How much it goes down will depend entirely on the effort you put in. I am just here to support you every step of the way. Because as a nurse, nothing would make me happier than to see one more person take the steps needed to avoid becoming my next admission.
